Welcome Back, Classes 1 to 10
New Year, New Energy
The Halls Are Alive Again!
After a scorching summer that tested everyone’s patience, Shahbaaz English Medium School reopened its doors today for Classes 1 through 10. The corridors that had been quiet for weeks were, all at once, full of footsteps, chatter, and the particular energy that only a first day back can produce. A warm welcome banner greeted every student at the entrance today. To every parent who dropped their child off this morning: relax. Your children are home.
Thank You Teachers of Shahbaaz!
While students were sleeping in and parents were counting down the days, the teaching staff at Shahbaaz were already at work. For the last fifteen days, through Kalaburagi’s peak summer heat, our teachers came in, sat down, and did what they do quietly and without fanfare: they prepared. The academic calendar, the events calendar, the year’s syllabus, the lesson plans, all of it mapped, discussed, reviewed, and ready before a single student walked through the gate this morning.
It’s the kind of work that happens behind the scenes and never makes the headlines. We think it should, at least once. So, thank you, to every member of the Shahbaaz teaching staff. Your students don’t know it yet, but their year is already in good hands.
Every new academic year is a blank page, and at Shahbaaz, we’ve always believed it’s not just the students who start fresh. The teachers do too. The school does too. We begin together, and we grow together. To our students and their families, welcome home.

The Boards That Stole The Show

Class IX Blackboard
Our classrooms looked a little more cheerful than usual. Students returned to blackboards that had been transformed into welcome art, with each class teacher putting their own creative spin.

Class VI Blackboard
Chalk drawings, hand-lettered messages, bright borders, and colourful doodles covered every board from corner to corner. No two classrooms looked the same, and that was entirely the point.

Class III Blackboard
Every board told a small story: enthusiastic and unique messages welcoming students back, setting the tone for the year ahead. We appluad our teachers for this additional surprise.
The Taraana-e-Shahbaaz Set the Tone
What better way to begin a new year than with the words that remind every student who they are? Our high school students gathered to sing the Taraana-e-Shahbaaz, the school anthem composed by the eminent Urdu poet Late Janaab Shaad Abbasi Sahab.
رنگ و بوئے علم و فن ہیں، زینتِ شہباز ہم — the scent and hue of art and learning, the pride of Shahbaaz are we. Goosebumps, every single time!
